Huskies Host 2026 Commits and Recruits; UW Coaching Staff Intensifies Recruiting Efforts Across California
University of Washington Football 2026 Recruits Visit Campus; Coaches Hit the Road for Top Prospects
More, more, and more recruiting news. Washington’s coaching staff remained busy this past week, making school visits throughout Southern and Northern California. The coaches then hosted a contingent of 2026 commits and recruits at Washington on Saturday. Here are the details about Washington’s recruiting efforts this week.
Huskies host 2026 Commits and Recruits on Saturday
The Huskies hosted a handful of commits and recruits in Seattle on Saturday.

Two 2026 Washington commits visited Montlake on Saturday: 2026 four-star RB Ansu Sanoe (Lakeridge - Lake Oswego, Oregon) and 2026 three-star ATH Terrance Saryon (Evergreen - Vancouver, Washington). On his X account, Saryon said that it is “[a]lways great to be back home!”
Speaking of home, a few local recruits visited Washington on Saturday, including 2026 three-star ATH Giulio Banchero (Seattle, WA). Banchero picked up his first Power 4 offer from North Carolina on Friday. He is being recruited by — you guessed it— former Washington coach Armond Hawkins. Giulio is the brother of NBA star Paolo Banchero. “The facilities were top of the line,” says Giulio Banchero. “It really showed how much [Washington] cares [by] giv[ing] their players the best option[s] at every corner of the building.”
2026 CB Elijah Durr (Mount Tahoma - Tacoma, WA) also reportedly visited on Saturday. Durr holds offers from UW and several other Power 4 programs. He picked up offers from Idaho and San Diego State this week.
2026 ATH Zamarie Tellez (Federal Way HS - Federal Way, WA) also visited Washington on Saturday. Tellez met with Washington Cornerbacks Coach John Richardson earlier this month. Tellez received an offer from the current Washington coaching staff when they were at Arizona.
2026 QB Nate Donavan (Sumner HS - Sumner, WA) also reportedly visited on Saturday. Donavan led Sumner to a 4A state championship last season, passing for over 2,900 yards and tossing 28 touchdowns. He holds an offer from Nevada.
Another local recruit, Eastside Catholic ATH Asa Thompson reportedly visited on Saturday. Thompson holds six offers, with Oregon and Arizona State as notable suitors.

2026 three-star WR Rico Blassingame’s (Tolleson Union - Tolleson, Arizona) unofficial visit on Saturday went well. After his visit, Blassingame shared that he plans to return to Seattle for an official visit. Washington is in his top ten, and his dad says a new list is coming out “soon.” I expect Washington to be on this list.
2026 LB Donnie Vercher III (Central Catholic - Portland, Oregon) visited Washington on Saturday. Vercher tells SeaTown Sports he had a “great visit” and says “the facilities are some of the best I’ve seen in the country.” Vercher received an offer from San Diego State on Friday. He also holds an offer from UNLV.
2026 ATH Amani Morel (Rigby - Idaho) is another Northwest-product that visited Washington on Saturday. Last season, he had 113 carries for 1112 yards. 9.8 yards per carry, and 17 touchdowns.
A few sophomores also reportedly visited on Saturday. 2027 QB Furian Inferrera (Mater Dei - Santa Ana, California) made the trip up to Seattle. Last season, Inferrera backed up incoming 2025 QB Dash Beierly at Mater Dei. The sophomore saw game action despite not being a starter, completing 75% of his passes and compiling a 120.1 QBR. He has offers from Pittsburgh, Nebraska, and others.
2027 DB Summit Cvitash (Lake Oswego HS - Lake Oswego, Oregon) traveled north to Washington on Saturday. He called the vibe at UW “super lively” and the facilities as “one of a kind.”
On the Recruiting Trail…
Washington’s staff continued traveling throughout the country to meet with recruits:

On Friday, Defensive Coordinator Ryan Walters and Safeties Coach Taylor Mays visited 2026 Washington-commit LB Wassie Lugolobi and Washington-target 2026 ATH Asa Thompson at Eastside Catholic.
Scottie Graham (left) and Brian Bonner (right); photo credit: @Brianbonner34 2026 4-star running back Brian Bonner received an in-home visit from Scottie Graham. Last November, Bonner included Washington in his top ten. In his junior season, Bonner rushed for 1433 yards, collected 484 receiving yards, and had 415 return yards.
Scottie Graham also visited 2026 4-star running back Javian Osborne
(Forney HS - Forney, Texas). Osborne’s top 10 earlier this month didn’t include UW. Can the Huskies get back in the running?
Washington continues its pursuit of 2026 Florida State-commit QB Brady Smigiel (Newbury Park - Newbury Park, CA). Jedd Fisch, Scottie Graham, and Quarterbacks Coach Jimmie Dougherty visited Smigiel last week. This visit comes on the heels of a visit by Graham and Dougherty earlier this month.
Washington visited Tennessee-commit 2026 three-star DL Tyson Bacon (Hoover HS - Hoover, Alabama) this week. Washington defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi is working to flip Bacon’s commitment.
On Thursday, a contingent of Washington coaches visited Oaks Christian in Westlake Village, California. The Huskies are recruiting 2026 RB Deshonne Redeaux, 2026 Safety Davon Benjamin, and 2026 DL Joseph Peko. Oaks Christian has produced several NFL players, including Zach Charbonnet, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Colby Parkinson, among many others.

Mingo tells SeaTown Sports that he had a “great conversation” with Cummings and that he will be scheduling an official visit to UW “soon.”
Ryan Walters and Taylor Mays visited Auburn Riverside this week. 2025 LB Jonathan Epperson (Auburn Riverside - Auburn, Wash.) will be starring for the Huskies next season.
Washington Tight Ends Coach Jordan Paopao visited Grant Union High School in Sacramento. Paopao is recruiting 2027 TE Rahzario Edwards from Grant. Washington offered Edwards last June.
On Wednesday, Scottie Graham stopped by Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA) to see 2026 four-star Edge Anthony Jones who has UW in his top 5. He had 54 tackles, 8 TFLs, 8.5 sacks, and 1 INT in his junior season.
Washington visited 2026 CB Isaiah Lucero (Northview - Covina, CA). Ryan Walters, John Richardson, and Taylor Mays all spent time with Lucero on Wednesday. Though Lucero does not hold an offer from Washington, he looks like a primary target for the coaching staff.
Photo credit: @_Isaiah_Lucero On Wednesday, Folsom HS (CA) hosted Jedd Fisch, Brennan Carroll, and Kevin Cummings. The Huskies have offered 2026 QB Ryder Lyons, 2026 OT Vlad Dyakonov, and 2026 WR Jameson Powell. Powell committed to Ole Miss this week.
2026 Edge Khary Wilder (Serra - Gardena, CA) received an offer from Washington on Tuesday. He tells me that Ryan Walters and John Richardson visited him at Serra on Tuesday as well. The Huskies have also offered 2027 CB Duvay Williams and are showing interest in 2026 ATH DeVoun Moutra.
The Huskies lost out on 2026 CB three-star Justin Lewis who committed to North Carolina this week, just a few days after former Washington coach Armond Hawkins offered Lewis a scholarship at UNC. Despite Lewis’ commitment, John Richardson made an in-home visit with Lewis on Thursday, the day after Lewis’ commitment.
This missed it in last week’s roundup, but 2026 three-star Andreas Diaz-Nicolaidis (Bishop Gorman - Las Vegas, Nevada) met with Jedd Fisch and Director of Recruiting Josh Omura last week. Diaz-Nicolaidis tells SeaTown Sports that he plans on visiting UW sometime after February.
New Offers
Here are the newly reported offers that went out this week:
2026 TE Mason Bonner (Mullen - Denver, Colorado) received an offer from Washington on Friday. He measures at 6-6, 220 lbs. Bonner reportedly has 20 offers.
2026 DL Jaimeon Winfield (Richardson HS - Richardson, Texas) received an offer from Washington last week. Winfield holds over two dozen offers, including offers from Alabama, Michigan, and Arizona State.

2027 LB Isaiah Phelps (Pacifica - Oxnard, CA) received an offer from Washington on Wednesday. Phelps has picked up six Power 4 offers this month. In 2024 he totaled 174 tackles, 8 TFLs, 5 Sacks, 2 INTs, and 5 PBU.

2028 QB Chase Curren (Crespi - CA) also received an offer from Washington on Friday. Curren also already has offers from Florida St., Arkansas, and UConn.
What’s Next?
Here is some additional intel I gathered this week about upcoming visits planned:
2026 Four-star Edge Derek Colman-Brusa (Kennedy Catholic - Burien, WA) tells SeaTown Sports that he plans to make an on-campus visit this week during one of the team’s morning training sessions. Colman-Brusa received a visit from Jedd Fisch and a contingent of Washington coaches during the first week of the Contact period. Oregon has made multiple visits this past month to meet with Colman-Brusa.
2026 Washington-commit four-star OL Esun Tafa (Corner Canyon - Draper, Utah) tells SeaTown Sports he has a visit to Washington planned for March 9th. Huskies offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll visited Tafa earlier this month He is Washington’s highest-rated 2026 commit so far, ranking as the No. 10 best interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026 on 247 Sports.
2026 three-star WR Luc Weaver (Notre Dame HS - Sherman Oaks, CA) tells SeaTown Sports that he also has a visit scheduled to Washington on March 9th. UW coaches visited Weaver at his school during the first week of the Contact Period. Weaver visited UCLA on Saturday and will visit USC (Feb. 1).
2027 WR Clark Cokley (JSerra - San Juan Capistrano, CA) received his first offer from Colorado State last week. Washington is showing interest and he tells SeaTown Sports he plans to visit UW in the spring.
A source tells me that Jedd Fisch will be in the Bay Area this coming week to recruit at Archbishop Riordan where 2026 four-star IOL Tommy Tofi (Archbishop Riordan - San Francisco, CA) remains a top target. Brennan Carroll visited Tofi earlier this month.
