These potential Huskies will get a comprehensive look at what UW can offer them academically and athletically. Recruits will have an opportunity to tour the school’s facilities and meet the UW coaching staff.
Recruits Scheduled to Visit UW This Weekend
Below is a rundown of the recruits who reportedly will be on UW’s campus this weekend. There may be other recruits who have flown under the radar and have not been reported, and there may be last-minute additions and cancellations, but this is our best shot at providing a comprehensive list of what has publicly been reported.
*Star ratings are according to 247 Sports.
Quarterback
Three-star QB Dash Beierly (Mater Dei - Santa Ana, CA) - Beierly committed to the Huskies shortly after Jedd Fisch took the reigns as the program’s head coach. Beirely will presumably be trying to get uncommitted players from the Class of 2025 to join him at UW, including his teammate Daryus Dixon.
Wide Receiver
Four-star WR Phillip Bell (Mission Viejo - Mission Viejo, CA) - Washington is the first of five visits Bell has lined up. Penn St. (June 7), Ohio St. (June 14), Tennessee (June 18) and USC (June 21) will follow his visit to UW. Bell’s teammate, CB Dijon Lee will also be in Seattle with Bell this weekend.
Four-star WR Chris Lawson (Archbishop Riordan - San Francisco, CA) - Lawson has already visited USC. After this weekend’s trip to Seattle, he will visit Oregon (June 7) and hometown Cal (June 14). On3 lists USC as the favorite to land Lawson.
Tight End
Four-star TE Kaleb Edwards (Oak Ridge - El Dorado Hills, CA) - UW Tight Ends Coach Jordan Paopao has one of the best track records in college football in developing NFL talent. Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Will Dissly, and Drew Sample all went to the NFL and played under Paopao while at UW. This will be the main selling point in trying to lure Edwards. After this weekend’s visit, Edwards will head to Texas (June 7), Auburn (June 11), Alabama (June 17), and Oregon (June 21).
Offensive Line
Three-star OL Jake Flores (J Serra Catholic - San Juan Capistrano, CA) - Flores committed to the Huskies in early February. He has openly been fellow OL recruits Demetri Manning and John Mills to join him at UW.
Three-star OL Demetri Manning (Bellevue - Kent, WA) - Manning visited UCLA two weeks ago and has three visits lined up after his hometown visit to UW this weekend - Oregon (June 7), Miami (June 14), Arkansas (June 21).
Three-star OL John Mills (St. Ignatius - San Francisco, CA) - The 6-6, 320lb offensive line recruit has already visited hometown Cal and Nebraska. After his visit to UW this weekend, he will go to Florida (June 7) and then Texas (June 14). 247 Sports lists Texas as the favorite to land Mills.
Defensive Line
Three-star Edge Devin Hyde (Menlo-Atherton - Menlo Park, CA) - Hyde is one of the many Bay Area recruits this Husky staff is pursuing. Hyde visited UCLA earlier this month. He will visit Cal (June 7) next weekend.
Three-star Edge Caleb Smith (Parker - Birmingham, AL) - One thing is like the other. Smith is a rare UW recruit who resides in the South. He reportedly holds over 20 offers from different schools. Smith has visits set with Georgia Tech (June 7), Purdue (June 14), and Oklahoma State (June 22).
Three-star DL Chace Sims (Randle -Richmond, TX) - Husky Defensive Run Game Coordinator Jason Kaufasi is not afraid to wade into the state of Texas to recruit talent to the Northwest. Sims has already visited SMU. After this weekend, he will visit LSU (June 7), Kansas (June 19), and Texas Tech (June 21).
Four-star DL Smith Orogbo (Alief Hastings - Houston, TX) - Notice a pattern? The Huskies are making an effort to set a footprint in Texas. UW has to beat out a pair of Texas schools to land Orogbo. Visits set after this weekend include Texas Tech (June 7), Texas (June 14), and Oklahoma (June 21).
Linebacker
Four-star LB Madden Faraimo (J Serra Catholic - San Juan Capistrano, CA) - Faraimo’s teammate, OL Jake Flores, has already committed to the Huskies. The pair will be in Seattle this weekend. UW faces stiff competition for Faraimo as he has subsequent visits lined up with Notre Dame (June 7), Ohio State (June 14), and Texas (June 21).
Four-star LB Matai Tagoa’i (San Clemente - San Clemente, CA) - Can the Huskies get Tagoa’i to flip? He committed to USC in April, but has obliged the Huskies with an official visit this weekend.
Three-star LB Cyrus Polu (Desert Hills - Saint George, UT) - Kaufasi is UW’s point of contact with Polu. After he visits UW, Polu will visit Michigan St. (June 7) and his home state Utah (June 22).
Secondary
Four-star CB Daryus Dixon (Mater Dei - Santa Ana, CA) - After visiting UW this weekend, Dixon will visit Penn State on June 7th and Tennessee on June 14th. Dixon will be at UW this weekend with his teammate Dash Beierly, who has committed to the Huskies.
Four-star CB Dijon Lee (Misson Viejo - Mission Viejo, CA) - Washington is the first of four visits Lee will go on. Georgia (June 6), Texas A&M (June 14), and Alabama (June 21) will follow. Lee has indicated that he will announce his commitment on June 28th.
Four-star ATH Dylan Robinson (Bonita - La Verne, CA) - Robinson is a two-way player that is being recruited both as a receiver and a defensive back/safety. Washington is the first of four visits Robinson has lined up; Utah (June 8), Notre Dame (June 11), and UCLA (June 21).
Current Class of 2025 Commits
The Huskies coaching staff has put together a decent recruiting class so far. The five-person class ranks 59th overall on 247 Sports. There is some work to do, but this weekend is the first step in putting together a strong recruiting class. Along with Beierly and Flores mentioned above, UW has also gained commits from three-star WR Raiden Vines-Bright (IMG Academy - Bradenton, FL), three-star RB Julian McMahan (Monte Vista - Danville, CA), and three-star QB Treston Kini McMillan (Mililani - Mililani, HI).
