Penn State WR Omari Evans Set to Visit Washington Next Tuesday (1/21)
Penn State Transfer WR Omari Evans Plans Washington Visit Amid Huskies' Search for Experienced Playmaker

Penn State transfer wide receiver Omari Evans is set to visit Washington next Tuesday (1/21), a source tells SeaTown Sports.
Earlier this week, Evans announced his plans to enter the transfer portal. In the 2024 season, Evans hauled in a career-high 21 receptions for 415 yards and five touchdowns. He played a role in helping Penn State earn berths into the Big Ten Championship game and the College Football Playoff. In Penn State’s 31-14 win playoff win against Boise State, Evans tallied two receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Before visiting Washington next Tuesday, Evans will visit Syracuse and Texas Tech this weekend. He also plans to visit Tennessee.
Evans led Penn State this past season with a 19.8 yards per reception average. The speedy pass-catcher has a 4.31-second 40-yard dash time.
Washington needs an experienced wideout to pair with junior Denzel Boston, who had a breakout 2024 campaign. Evans may be able to fit that role for the Huskies.
The team thought it had its answer in Texas transfer Johntay Cook who announced his commitment to the Huskies on December 28th. However, Cook’s tenure at Washington ended abruptly earlier this week, with multiple reports stating that Cook and the Huskies have already parted ways.
UPDATE - 1/22/24
Evans has committed to Washington according to a report from Hayes Fawcett at On3 Sports.
