In celebration of surpassing 100 subscribers, SeaTown Sports counted down the top 100 professional Seattle sports athletes of all-time.
Our Methodology
This list does not include individual athletes like Apolo Ohno or Michael Chang. It does not include any college stars who did not play in Seattle professionally like Steve Emtman or Kelsey Plum.
You won’t see any Seattle Kraken athletes on the list. We have not seen any individual performers at a high enough level in the team’s first three seasons.
We only considered an athlete’s performance while they played for their respective team in Seattle.
Putting together this list was not an easy task. How do you balance short spurts of success with more long-term moderate success? How do you compare athletes from different sports and different eras?
We grappled with these questions with the understanding that people may disagree. That’s what makes this fun. After perusing the Top 100, let us know who was too low, who was too high, and who was forgotten!
Below is the entire Top 100 list condensed into one list.
