This month, I moved Emerson and Celesten up to the top two spots. Those guys are untouchable in my mind and hence deserve top billing. There is not really a trade I can envision where I deal either one.
Tyler Locklear graduates out of the top 10 as he is on the Major League roster. If he gets sent back down when France comes of the IL, Locklear will reappear here. For now, he is hitting bombs with the M’s.
In sad news, Jonny Farmelo tore his ACL and likely won’t appear until next year about this time. However, he remains in the top 10 as he did enough to warrant the spot. In future top 10 rankings, he may slip out due to the injury. Colt Emerson is also hurt but should return in the next month.
Lastly, Logan Evans makes his first appearance in the top 10. He is a likely call up to a spot in the bullpen this summer. The Mariners moved him from starting to relief (ala Matt Brash) and Evans hits 97-99 MPH in the pen with some good swing and miss secondary stuff.
Prospect on the Rise
Lazaro Montes. This dude just mashes. An absolute stud who has 69 RBI in half of a season while posting a great BB/K ratio. Likely to be in many trade conversations in the next month.
